An Emotional Journey of How Relationships and Bonds Change
The film “Yaava Mohana Murali Kareyitu”, directed by Vishwas Krishna, is built around the idea that “once something—or someone—is lost, trying to regain it often leads to regret or sorrow.” Along with portraying the bond between a dog and a human, the story also presents a beautiful journey of a father and daughter. Mohan (Madhav), the son of a wealthy man from a place called Kargal, lives with his wife Sindhu (Swapna) and daughter Prakruthi. Though they are a happy family, Mohan carries the pain of his daughter being physically challenged. However, they raise her with love, without letting it affect their affection. At this point, a dog named Rocky enters Prakruthi’s life and brings immense joy, filling the void in her life.

Meanwhile, Murali (Varun) arrives in Kargal with a determined mission, carrying a gun. He eventually gets acquainted with Mohan and stays at his house. Why has Murali come to Kargal? Will he cause trouble to Mohan’s family? What happens to Prakruthi and Rocky? To find out, one must watch “Yaava Mohana Murali Kareyitu.” This is an emotional family drama. The character of Rocky, the dog, is used to bring happiness into the life of Prakruthi, a differently-abled child. Their emotional journey could have been portrayed more effectively. Keerthan Poojari beautifully captures the scenic beauty of Malenadu through his cinematography. Anil CJ’s background score complements the emotional scenes well. Madhav and Varun Raj have both delivered good performances. Baby Prakruthi seems to need a bit more preparation for the role. Swapna Shettigar and Shashidhar Bhat have performed their roles neatly. Overall, “Yaava Mohana Murali Kareyitu” is a film worth watching once.
