Marathi Actor Upendra Limaye Enters Sandalwood – To Act in Kishore Bhargav’s Direction

National Award-winning Marathi actor Upendra Limaye is now stepping into Sandalwood, brought in by director Kishore Bhargav for a film starring Rishi.
Renowned for his powerful performances in Marathi cinema, Upendra Limaye, who has won the National Award, is now making his Kannada film debut. After the success of the film Vastunnam in Telugu (released during Sankranti), the actor has started accepting multiple offers from South Indian industries. Director Kishore Bhargav is introducing him to Kannada audiences for the first time.
Kishore Bhargav, who previously worked as an associate director with Ram Gopal Varma and directed the Kannada movie Stalker, is now gearing up to direct another film. Rishi, known for his performances in Kavaludaari and Operation Alamelamma, will play the lead role, while Upendra Limaye will portray a significant character in the film.
Speaking about his entry into the Kannada industry, Upendra Limaye shared:
“I’ve started speaking in Kannada now. Kannada is my mother tongue and a language I love. This is my first Kannada film, and the content is very impressive. Kishore Bhargav is a promising director. I’m thrilled to play a wonderful role with a great team and strong story.”
This upcoming film is being produced in collaboration between Hangs Sai Vision and Script Tease Films. The working title is currently Production-2. The story is written by Kishore Bhargav and Somashekhar N. Karadi, with Shreesh Tomar handling cinematography, Skanda Kashyap composing the music, and Smita Kulkarni as the art director. The film is set to begin shooting in the second week of October.
