Meghana Raj Sarja becomes Warrior Queen in “Sangeeta Bar and Restaurant”
Bengaluru, March 10: The shooting of the film “Sangeeta Bar and Restaurant”, starring Sensational Star Komal Kumar, Meghana Raj Sarja, and Anusha Rai in the lead roles, has recently been completed. The film is directed by Sandesh Shetty Ajri, while Vikas Shetty has invested in and produced the project. The shooting of “Sangeeta Bar and Restaurant” was carried out for 75 days in two schedules, with most of the filming taking place in the coastal and Malnad regions including Kundapura, Shivamogga, and Thirthahalli. For the filming, seven large sets with different designs were specially constructed in Valturu village near Ampar, Kundapura. According to the film team, these sets were built across a two-acre area, and nearly 90% of the movie was shot within these sets, designed to suit the requirements of the story.
Interestingly, although the film is titled “Sangeeta Bar and Restaurant,” the movie actually carries two titles, says director Sandesh Shetty Ajri. This is due to the film’s storyline. The first half of the film begins in a bar and revolves around events there, while the second half starts and concludes at a sacred temple location. Hence, the first half is titled “Sangeeta Bar and Restaurant,” while the second half is called “Devara Thaana” (Temple Shrine). Both names represent the essence of the story. However, as per censor board regulations, a film can have only one official title, so the movie will be released in theatres under the name “Sangeeta Bar and Restaurant.”
For the first time, actor Komal Kumar will be seen in a dual role in this film, portraying characters that represent two different eras — one from the past and one from the present. In one role, he appears as a royal court portrait artist, while in the other he plays a film director, bringing two contrasting characters to life. Meghana Raj will be seen as a queen in the “Devara Thaana” portion, while she appears as the female lead in the “Sangeeta Bar” segment.
The film features a large ensemble cast, including Pramod Shetty, Prakash Thuminad, Vajradeer Jain, Utsav, Karthik Rao, Raghu Ramanakoppa, Sirija, Vardhan, Karan, Radhika Rao, Divyashree, Akshatha, Arasu, Mahesh, Nagaraj, Chitrakala, Umesh Kinnal, Manish Shetty, Radhakrishna, Mahabaleshwar Bhat, and many others. Director Sandesh Shetty Ajri himself also appears in a role in the film. The movie promises four different songs, action sequences, comedy, emotional moments, and a spiritual storyline, making “Sangeeta Bar and Restaurant” a complete entertainer, according to the film team.
