Mullina Gulabi team celebrates Women’s Day with a Special Poster
The film “Mullina Gulabi,” starring veteran actors Anant Nag and Aarathi, was originally released in 1982. After 44 years, a new film with the same title is now being produced, featuring a women-centric storyline. The film narrates the story of a young woman who, during her college life, gets married at an early age and moves to her husband’s house. There, she faces various harassments, hardships, and emotional struggles from her in-laws. The movie portrays how she faces these challenges, overcomes them, and ultimately rises to establish herself in society.

The film “Mullina Gulabi” is based on a novel written by author Asha Gurulingayya. The movie is being directed by Smile Shivu, who has also written the screenplay and dialogues. This is his second directorial venture after the film “Nisarga.” On the occasion of International Women’s Day, the poster release event of this women-centric film was held yesterday at the Nayana Auditorium in Bengaluru. During the event, Assistant Police Commissioner Dr. Priyadarshini Eshwar Sanekoppa unveiled the poster of Mullina Gulabi and extended her best wishes to the film team. Veteran actor Mysore Ramanand was also present on the stage during the event.

The film is being produced by B.K. Shivakumar under the banner of Bhoomika Cine Productions. Interestingly, author Asha Gurulingayya herself will play the lead role, representing the struggles of women in society. The film features cinematography by Ravi Suvarna, music composed by Vinu Manasu, and lyrics by Manvarshi and Venu. The selection process for the remaining cast and technical crew is currently underway, and the shooting of the film will begin soon.
