‘The Rise of Ashoka’ Wraps Up Shooting – Satish Ninasam Film Now in Post-Production

The much-anticipated film The Rise of Ashoka, starring Satish Ninasam and Sapthami Gowda, has officially completed its shoot and is now in the post-production phase. The movie had already piqued audience interest through its title and powerful posters, and this latest update adds to the excitement.

The film was shot on a grand scale in Srirangapatna, Nanjangud, Gundlupet, and around Bengaluru. In The Rise of Ashoka, Satish Ninasam plays the role of a revolutionary young man. Set in the 1970s, the story explores the life and struggles of a youth who fights against injustice.

Sapthami Gowda, known for her role in Kantara, plays the female lead opposite Satish. The ensemble cast also includes B. Suresh, Ravishankar, Gopalakrishna Deshpande, Sampath Maitreya, Yash Shetty, Dragon Manju, and Harish Peradi of Vikram Vedha fame.

Earlier, after the demise of director Vinod Dondale, reports surfaced that the film Ashoka Blade had been shelved. However, actor Satish Ninasam revived the project under a new title — The Rise of Ashoka — and has now successfully completed filming. The previously released poster showed Satish in a rugged look holding a sickle, which further intensified buzz around the film. With its highest budget in Satish’s career, the project is expected to mark a turning point in his professional journey.

The film will be released not only in Kannada but also in Telugu and Tamil, making it a multi-language venture. Produced under the banners of Vruddhi Creations and Satish Picture House, the movie is being co-produced by Vardhan Narahari, Jaishnavi, and Satish Ninasam himself.

The story is written by Dayanand T.K., with Poornachandra Tejaswi composing the music, Lavit handling cinematography, and Manu Shedgar in charge of editing. Action direction is by Ravi Varma and Vikram More, and Santosh Shekhar choreographs the dance sequences.
