‘Uddho Uddho Yallavva…’ Lyrical Song from Sri Krishna Released

A new film titled “Sri Krishna”, written, directed, produced, and headlined by Shankar Raj Varma—who earlier made “Brahmarakshasa”—has been completed quietly. The shooting is already wrapped up, and the film is currently in post-production. It is set for release in May, and as a first step in promotions, the team has released the film’s first song. The lyrical song “Uddho Uddho Yallavva…” is written, composed, and sung by M.S. Thyagaraj, with additional vocals by Sarayu. The song has been released on the Siri Music YouTube channel. The launch event was held grandly on Friday at Utsav Legacy, where the team officially unveiled the track.

The film is jointly produced under the Bruhaspati Creations banner by Shankar Raj Varma and Ajay Kumar P.M., with Shivalingayya C.M., Ullas K.C.S., Chanakya R., Nenapirali Mohan, and Latha Manjunath serving as co-producers. Speaking at the event, actor-director Shankar Raj Varma said, “I never imagined I would become a director and build a production house. I owe it to my parents, family, and friends for their support. Due to various reasons, Brahmarakshasa got delayed, though we had high expectations for it. At that point, I remembered a line about Lord Krishna and felt inspired to make a film titled Sri Krishna. Most of the team members from Brahmarakshasa have worked on this film as well. The real heroes and directors of this film are my team members. The film will release in May, and we are planning to release the trailer on March 30.”

Explaining the story, Shankar said, “The film revolves around the lives of three orphans. Even the heroine is an orphan. While they are together, an incident changes their lives drastically, leading them to prison. What happens after they escape from jail forms the rest of the story.” Actress Chaithra Totad, who plays the female lead, said, “I play an orphan in this film. It shows the struggles she goes through and how the hero transforms her life during difficult times. I had acted in a key role in Brahmarakshasa, and now I am the lead here. Director Shankar has made this film without any compromises, and I believe audiences will like it.”

Producer Ajay added, “This is a film made by friends, for friends, and for the sake of friendship. Many of our friends are part of this team, and we hope this film brings them success.” Apart from Shankar Raj Varma and Chaithra Totad, the film also stars Pradeep Poojari, Bhuvan Gowda, Sneha, and Ishwar Shetty. The film features lyrics and music by M.S. Thyagaraj, cinematography by Anirudh, and editing by Keerthiraj.
