Juhi Jayakumar roped in for God Promise opposite Suchan Shetty
The upcoming film ‘God Promise’, conceptualized by debut director Suchan Shetty, has been creating curiosity ever since its title was announced. Now, the latest update is that the film has found its leading lady. Juhi Jayakumar, who has appeared in Malayalam films and hails from Kerala, has been cast as the female lead opposite Suchan Shetty. Juhi, who has played prominent roles in films like Pavi Caretaker, Thalaiva Thalaivi, and Sumathi Olavu, will now be introduced to Kannada audiences as a full-fledged heroine through God Promise. She was selected through an extensive audition process conducted by the film team.

Auditions were held in Kundapura and Bengaluru, both online and offline. Over 4,000 candidates participated online, while more than 1,000 attended offline auditions. Among them, Juhi Jayakumar was chosen as the most suitable for the role. Following her selection, the team conducted a workshop for her, where she impressed everyone with her performance skills. Speaking about her role, Juhi said, “My character in God Promise has great scope. It is not a typical ornamental role but a substantial one with depth. I am happy to be working with such a good team. Director Suchan Shetty is someone who strives for novelty. God Promise will surely entertain the audience.”

The film is being produced by Mahendra Shetty under the banner of Panchajanya Film Production. Cinematography is handled by Guruprasad Narnad, music is composed by Bharat Madhusudhan, and editing is by Naveen Shetty. The team has already completed around 40% of the shoot. They are planning to wrap up filming by the end of April and release the movie later this year.
