Senior Actor Dattanna Launches ‘KD’ Trailer

The trailer launch event for the highly anticipated big-budget film KD took place at the Ashoka Hotel. Directed by the visionary Jogi Prem and starring Action Prince Dhruva Sarja, the film is produced by the renowned South Indian production house KVN Productions with a massive budget of hundreds of crores. Veteran actor Dattanna officially launched the trailer and shared his best wishes for the team. The entire cast and crew, including producer K. Venkat Narayan Konanki, director Prem, lead actors Dhruva Sarja and Reeshma Nanaiah, Ramesh Aravind, music director Arjun Janya, cinematographer William David, and choreographer Bhajarangi Mohan, were in attendance.

Speaking at the colorful event, director Prem announced that KD is set to release on the 30th of this month. He credited KVN for making the film a reality, stating that while people usually consider the actors or director as heroes, the real hero of this project is KVN. He praised the producer’s passion and heart, noting that for three years, the production house has supported thousands of workers. Prem added that the Censor Board and those who have seen the film have lauded Dhruva Sarja’s performance. He described the film as an experience where every character is born but none truly end, and he invited the audience to witness this spectacle across the country on April 30.

Lead actor Dhruva Sarja addressed the gathering, noting that the industry has completed 93 years because of the audience’s consistent support. He urged fans to take two and a half hours out of their schedule to watch the film, promising a complete family entertainer with situational violence. Echoing the director’s sentiments, Dhruva stated that neither he nor Prem are the heroes; rather, the producer holds that title for his faith in the story. He also praised Reeshma Nanaiah’s wonderful acting and Arjun Janya’s incredible music, marking his first collaboration with the composer.
Producer K. Venkat Narayan complimented Prem’s direction and the immense effort put in by Dhruva, Ramesh Aravind, and Ravichandran. Ramesh Aravind shared that the film is a result of everyone’s hard work, explaining that while “KD” stands for Kalidasa, this character writes poetry in blood. He noted that his character is named Dharma and highlighted the contrasting nature of the roles in the film.
KD features six beautiful songs composed by Arjun Janya, with each song featuring work from a different choreographer. The film is a gangster story based on true events that took place between 1970 and 1975. It boasts cinematography by William David of Vikrant Rona fame and features a stellar ensemble cast including Crazystar Ravichandran, Sanjay Dutt, Shilpa Shetty, and Nora Fatehi.
