Women-centric film Janmadathe to hit screens soon
The women-centric film ‘Janmadathe’ is written, produced, and headlined by Sunil Hubballi. Having gained experience under filmmakers like Ravichandran and Shivamani and having directed three films earlier, he now ventures into production as a new milestone in his career. The film is directed by K.S. Ravindranath Kanagal, who has also written the screenplay. The story highlights the struggles of a woman in society, portraying how she is often seen as weak rather than empowered. After becoming the mother of four daughters, she is unable to endure her husband’s harassment and chooses to live independently. The narrative follows how she rebuilds her life and succeeds, and what ultimately happens to her husband.

The film features Moogu Suresh as the husband and Apoorva as the wife. Veteran actress Shailashree Sudarshan plays the president of the State Women’s Association, while Sannakki Prakash appears in a role that protects women. The supporting cast includes Rajakumari, Vishalakshi C.K., V. Karanya Shashidhar, Doregouda, Deepika Mundewada, Jr. Malashree, and Poornima. Music is composed by A.T. Ravish, cinematography is handled by Kuriraj, editing by P. Mariswamy, and dialogues are written by Rishita Nagaraju. The film has been shot in and around Bengaluru, Mysuru, and Tumakuru, and is expected to hit the screens soon.
