Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge — A Masterclass in Action and Emotion
The first part of “Dhurandhar” concluded with the assassination of Rehman Baloch (Akshaye Khanna). From that point, the sequel hints at the massive game orchestrated by Hamza Ali Mazari, also known as Jaskirat Singh Rangi (Ranveer Singh). On one hand, Hamza gains political clout by marrying Yalina (Sara Ali Khan), the daughter of MP Jameel Jamali (Rakesh Bedi); on the other, he crushes Rehman’s legacy, sends Uzair Baloch to Dubai, and becomes the undisputed King of Lyari.

Gradually gaining the trust of ISI Major Iqbal (Arjun Rampal), he establishes contact with the “Bade Saab” Dawood Ibrahim and takes on the responsibility of supplying drugs and counterfeit currency to India. He grows into a “Karachi Badshah.” Simultaneously, terrorists responsible for various attacks in India begin falling to anonymous bullets in Pakistan. As bodies pile up, suspicion of Indian spies grows, and a hunt for “moles” begins. Meanwhile, Hamza becomes a target for SP Aslam (Sanjay Dutt) of the Lyari Task Force. The film also reveals how Jaskirat Singh, a man from a simple Pathankot family with three generations of military service, transformed into Hamza. Does Hamza hunt his enemies, or does he become the hunted? You must watch the film to find out.

Technical Brilliance & Performances
“The Revenge” surpasses its predecessor not just in runtime, but in drama, grit, suspense, thrill, and action. It is a perfect sequel. Director Aditya Dhar is the real “Dhurandhar” here, successfully gluing an audience used to one-minute Reels to the big screen for nearly three hours and forty-five minutes. He has masterfully blended real events from 2002 to 2024 with a fictional touch. While some moments feel exaggerated, his filmmaking style—reminding us that “the truth was even harsher”—is peerless.

Ranveer Singh breathes life into both Hamza and Jaskirat; after a string of setbacks, this franchise has given him a cinematic rebirth. Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, and Rakesh Bedi are the highlights of this sequel. Additionally, Vikash Nowlakha’s cinematography and Shashwat Sachdev’s background score make the experience immersive. The film offers a grand cinematic vision while revisiting history and the mysterious lives of spies.
Box Office Record Breaker
“Dhurandhar 2” has rewritten history at the box office. Despite not releasing in Gulf countries due to its anti-Pakistan themes and ongoing conflicts, it has emerged as the “Collection King.”
