Pramod Shetty, Shruthi Hariharan’s Journey on “NH 66”
The muhurat (launch ceremony) and title reveal of the new film NH 66, produced and directed by Manjunath T.R under the Raya Films banner, was held at Sri Raghavendra Swamy Mutt in Rajarajeshwari Nagar. The film stars Pramod Shetty, Shruti Hariharan, and Rajesh Nataranga in lead roles. Actor Ugram Manju and several dignitaries, along with members of the film team, were present at the event. The team later addressed the gathering.

Director-producer Manjunath T.R said, “I worked in the direction department under senior director Bhargava. Later, due to certain circumstances, I went abroad, where I studied scriptwriting and screenplays in depth. Now I’ve returned and begun my first directorial venture. Being a devoted follower of Rayaru, I am also producing this film under the banner Raya Films, named after him. As the title suggests, NH 66 is a road story and also falls under the thriller-drama genre. When I narrated the story to Pramod Shetty and Shruti Hariharan, they liked it and agreed to be part of the project. Rajesh Nataranga also plays a key role. The story unfolds over two nights during a journey from Mangaluru to Goa, revolving around three to four characters. The tagline of the film is ‘One Highway. Many Secrets.’ Shooting will begin in Mangaluru from April 6. The film features cinematography by Suneeth Halageri and music by Swaminathan.”

Actor Pramod Shetty said, “I really liked the story narrated by Manjunath. As he mentioned, it’s a road story with a thriller element. I play the role of a cab driver. I’m very happy to act alongside Shruti Hariharan and Rajesh Nataranga. As a devotee of Rayaru, Manjunath has begun his first directorial project in the divine presence of Rayaru. May he be blessed.” Actress Shruti Hariharan said, “I really liked Manjunath’s passion for cinema and the way he narrated the story. I have acted in many films so far, but I am playing a role in this film that I haven’t done before. I’m happy to be working with Pramod Shetty.” Cinematographer Suneeth Halageri and music director Swaminathan also shared their thoughts about the film NH 66.
