“Puneeth Nivasa” to Release on Dr. Rajkumar’s Birthday
Puneeth Rajkumar is the beloved icon of Kannadigas. The film “Puneeth Nivasa,” which tells the story of a poor fan who adopts Puneeth’s ideals and builds a house named “Puneeth Nivasa,” is set to release on April 24, coinciding with Dr. Rajkumar’s birth anniversary.
Produced by S. Mohan—a devoted fan of Puneeth—under the Shri Panchami Cine Creations banner, the film features a story and screenplay by Nagendra Prasad, who also directed the project. Kannada Raju has been the pillar of support for the entire team.

The Storyline
The protagonist, Mallu, is an orphan and a staunch follower of Puneeth. Working as a construction laborer, he helps his employer sell a house. With the ₹5 lakh commission he receives, he builds his dream home, “Puneeth Nivasa.” The core mystery and curiosity of the film lie in how he “sees” Puneeth Rajkumar once he enters the house.
The director explores whether Mallu—who set out to make a movie—succeeds in his cinematic venture, or if his dream of living by Puneeth’s ideals truly becomes a reality.
Behind the Scenes
Producer S. Mohan, deeply inspired by the values of Dr. Rajkumar and Puneeth Rajkumar, revealed that he went through 50 different stories before finalizing this particular script.

“The plot revolves around how a poor boy saves money to build his dream project. For this film, the director and I prepared several scenes right on the sets,” said Producer Mohan.
Notably, to maintain authenticity, Producer Mohan constructed a real house for the filming instead of just using a temporary set.
