Multilingual Trailer and Songs of ‘Padmagandhi’ Launched

The trailer and song of the film Padmagandhi, directed, scripted, and written by veteran actor K. Suchendra Prasad was launched recently. The film is unique in being presented in three languages; Kannada, Sanskrit, and Hindi. The film is produced by retired professor S.R. Leela, a former MLC, columnist, and scholar who has extensively studied Sanskrit from various dimensions.

Jagadguru Sri Sri Sri Vishwaprasanna Teertha Swamiji, the head of the Pejawar Math, whose attendance brought spiritual grace to the event. Swamiji remarked, “Suchendra Prasad has undertaken a great challenge by making this film in the current unprofitable scenario of Kannada cinema. Sanskrit is a language that transcends national boundaries. Hence, this film will attract a thoughtful audience. May all those involved in this venture be blessed.”

In the film, Kumari Mahapadma plays the role of a student, while Paripoorna Chandrashekhar from Udupi portrays the role of Gurumaate. The cast also features noted personalities such as real-life scholar Shatavadhani Dr. R. Ganesh, Dr. Gauri Subramanya (religious head, Muktinaga Temple), Dr. Prema, Dr. Hemanth Kumar, Acharya Mrutyunjaya Shastri, G.L. Bhat (sculptor), Pandit Prasanna Vaidya, Dr. Deepak Paramashivan, and Hemanth Kumar G — all of whom have brought gravitas to the film.

The film features music by Dr. Deepak Paramashivan, cinematography by Manuyaplar, Nagaraj Advani, and Giridhar Diwan, and editing by N. Nagesh Narayanappa.

The story of Padmagandhi spreads the divine fragrance of the lotus from beginning to end. The narrative revolves around the mystical aroma of the divine lotus flower. The film delves deep into the spiritual experience surrounding the lotus, expanding the viewer’s understanding and appreciation of its sacred symbolism. The content has been carefully researched and translated into cinematic form through thoughtfully designed scenes. Producer S.R. Leela shared, “The director has perfectly visualized what was in my mind. If you help us spread the word, our efforts will be worthwhile.”
