“In His Name” – A Soulful Musical Tribute to Love, Patriotism, and Innocent Lives Lost to Terror

On the eve of Independence Day, Kannada actress and singer Chandana Ananthakrishna has released a poignant music video titled “In His Name”. Inspired by true events, the video blends the themes of love, sacrifice, humanity, and patriotism, while serving as a moving tribute to the victims of terrorism, particularly the recent Pahalgam attack.

The narrative follows the journey of a newly married couple, whose lives begin with joy, dreams, and cherished moments with family and friends. Their story, which blossoms from the celebration of marriage to the sweetness of honeymoon memories, takes a tragic turn when violence—born out of political conflict and terrorism—shatters their world. In an instant, laughter turns into tears, and dreams are reduced to fragments.

Through this tale, In His Name captures the warmth of love, the fragility of life, and the silent suffering of innocents caught in the shadows of conflict. More than a love story, it stands as a testament to humanity, empathy, and the sacrifices made by ordinary people in extraordinary circumstances.

Chandana Ananthakrishna, who not only produced the video but also performed and sang in it, stars in the lead role alongside Nidharshan. The project is co-produced by Aaroh Films. The video has been directed by Tejas Kiran and Mayur Ambekallu, with soulful music by Mayur Ambekallu and heartfelt lyrics by Bhanuprakash Jois. Cinematography is handled by Shivashankar Noorambad, and editing by Anuranjan H.R.
