Bhaira Launched with Grand Muhurtha Ceremony

The film Bhaira had its muhurtha ceremony in a traditional and grand manner at the Panchamukhi Ganapati Temple in Bengaluru. “Lovely Star” Prem sounded the clapboard for the first shot and extended his wishes to the team.
Marking his return as a lead actor after a brief gap, Mahesh Siddu—best known for Goolihatti and Saagutha Saagutha Doora Doora—will be seen in the titular role. The film is written and directed by Akul N, a noted choreographer with credits in over 200 films. This project marks his fourth directorial outing. Produced by Amit Poojari under the banner Khushi Kanashu Creations, with Ashok DDN as co-producer, the film promises a gripping blend of action and emotion.
In Bhaira, Mahesh Siddu portrays a character who takes up odd jobs for survival, while actress Shwetha Surendra plays a spirited street-smart girl opposite him. The supporting cast features Jack Jali Jali, Yash Shetty, Ravi Kale, Vardhan, Sampath Kumar, Cockroach Sudhi, B. Chandradhar, and Veena Shetty.
Speaking at the launch, director Akul N revealed that the story revolves around the underworld activities of local rowdies in Bengaluru’s “Silicon City.” The plot follows how an innocent young man becomes their target, is manipulated for political gain, and how he ultimately rises above the odds. Alongside the gritty action, audiences can also expect a touching love story and emotional mother-son sequences. With Mahesh Siddu’s flair for stunts, the film is set to feature four high-octane fight sequences. Shooting will be carried out across Bengaluru, particularly in Kalasipalyam and Okalipur.
The music is composed by Manju Mahadev, with lyrics penned by Bharjari Chetan, Aniruddh Shastri, and Nagarjuna Sharma. Cinematography is by S. Halesh, editing by K.M. Prakash, and stunt choreography by Vikram Mor and Vinod. The team plans to roll cameras from next week.
