Mother-Son Bonding Song Wins Hearts Across Karnataka; Nidradevi Next Door to Release on September 12

The title track “Nidradevi Baa” from the upcoming film “Nidradevi Next Door” has been released and is already receiving overwhelming appreciation. Produced by Jayaram Devasamudra under the banner Suram Movies and directed by Surag, the film stars Praveer and Rishika in the lead roles. The soulful song, penned by Pavan Bhatt, is composed by Nakul Abhyankar and rendered melodiously by Shrilakshmi Belmanu.

What makes the song special is its emotional theme centered on the bond between a mother and son, featuring veteran actress Sudharani alongside child artist Master Sujay. Since its release, the song has been widely viewed and praised by audiences for its touching portrayal.

Speaking at the launch, producer Jayaram Devasamudra said:
“This is the third film from our banner. When director Surag narrated the story and told me that Sudharani would play the mother’s role, I was truly delighted. What makes it even more special is that my own son, Master Sujay, has acted alongside her. Our film releases on September 12, and I seek everyone’s support.”

Director Surag explained the inspiration behind the track:
“It is often said that fathers are closer to daughters while mothers are closer to sons. Our song ‘Nidradevi Baa’ beautifully reflects this bond. Interestingly, the phrase ‘Nidradevi Baa’ also appears in Dr. Vishnuvardhan’s popular lullaby ‘Jo Jo Laali’, which inspired us. The song has been soulfully sung by Shrilakshmi Belmanu and picturized on Sudharani and Master Sujay. We are confident that the film, releasing on September 12, will connect deeply with audiences.”

Actress Sudharani, who plays the mother, expressed her joy:
“When Surag narrated the role, I immediately loved it. Often, what directors narrate and what we see on screen differ, but Surag has brought the exact vision alive. The mother-son song is beautiful.
