‘Seat Edge’ Trailer Launched by Vloggers; Dark Comedy Horror-Thriller to Release on January 30

After Love You Muddu, young actor Siddu Moolimani returns to the big screen as a lead with the upcoming suspense thriller ‘Seat Edge’, which is all set to hit theatres on January 30. As part of its aggressive promotional campaign, the makers have now unveiled the film’s trailer in a unique and relevant manner—through popular Kannada vloggers, perfectly aligning with the film’s core theme. Adding to the buzz, a special content video titled ‘Vlog-2: The Loop’ has also been released, giving audiences a glimpse into the intriguing world of the film.

A Vlogger, a Ghost Town, and a Dangerous Experiment

Seat Edge revolves around the story of a YouTube vlogger who ventures into ghost hunting, making it a film that directly taps into contemporary digital culture. Given this premise, the team chose to have well-known vloggers launch the trailer, underlining the film’s connection to social media-driven storytelling. Blending dark comedy with horror and suspense-thriller elements, the film features Siddu Moolimani in a never-seen-before avatar as a vlogger, with Raveesha Shetty playing the female lead. The supporting cast includes Raghu Ramanakoppa, Girish Shivanna, Mimicry Gopi, Lakshmi Siddayya, Kiran, Puneeth Babu, Teju Ponnappa, and Manmohan Rai, among others. The film is written and directed by Chetan Shetty, who has previously worked as an assistant director on films like Chemistry of Kariyappa and Critical Keertanegalu. Seat Edge is produced by Giridhara T. Vasanthapura under the banner N.R. Cinema Productions.

Siddu Moolimani on His Role

Speaking at the trailer launch, Siddu Moolimani said, “Seat Edge is a pure suspense-thriller. For the first time, I’m playing a YouTube vlogger. My character is obsessed with exploring places that no one dares to visit, just to impress audiences and gain views. I decide to go to a ghost town to shoot a ghost-hunting video. Whether I succeed in doing that or not—and what ghost hunting truly means—forms the crux of my role.”

Raveeksha Shetty: “A Role with Two Shades”

Actress Raveeksha Shetty shared her excitement about the film, saying, “I play a middle-class college girl who gets dragged into trouble along with a YouTuber who goes ghost hunting. It’s a character with two different shades. This film taught me a lot and gave me wonderful experiences. It has a good mix of story, songs, dance, comedy, sentiment, and suspense-thriller elements. Seat Edge was shot over 45 days across Bengaluru, Mysuru, Shivamogga, and Chikkamagaluru.
