50 Years of Raghavendra Chitravani – Kannada Cinema’s First Publicity Organization Unveiles Golden Jubilee Logo
Kannada cinema’s first-ever publicity organization, Raghavendra Chitravani, is celebrating its 50th anniversary. The organization was founded in 1976 by late D. V. Sudhindra, and so far it has handled publicity for more than 3,000 films — making it a truly unique institution. In fact, in the entire history of Indian cinema, no other PR organization has functioned actively for 50 continuous years like Raghavendra Chitravani. Today, the organization is led by Sudhindra Venkatesh, with support from Sunil Sudhindra, D. G. Vasudev, and Pawan Venkatesh. To mark the milestone, Raghavendra Chitravani is planning a grand Golden Jubilee celebration in April. As a prelude to this, a Golden Jubilee logo unveiling ceremony was held recently.

The logo was unveiled by senior actor J. K. Srinivasamurthy, actor Komal Kumar, and actress Anu Prabhakar Mukherjee.
Smt. Padma Sudhindra, wife of late D. V. Sudhindra, was also present on the occasion. Several dignitaries spoke about Sudhindra and the remarkable journey of Raghavendra Chitravani.

J. K. Srinivasamurthy said: “Raghavendra Chitravani is completing 50 years, and I am also completing 50 years in the film industry. I have been associated with Sudhindra since those early days. It is truly joyful to see a publicity organization function so actively for so long. I wish Raghavendra Chitravani reaches its 100th year.” Komal Kumar said: “Sudhindra was the one who blessed me saying I would grow into a big actor in Kannada cinema. Seeing his full family today makes me very happy. After his passing, Venkatesh has taken responsibility and is managing the organization very well, with the entire family standing behind him. With the blessings of Lord Raghavendra, may the organization grow even further.”
Anu Prabhakar Mukherjee said: “I have known Sudhindra sir since my childhood days as a child artist. Our families share a deep bond. As everyone said, it is truly a matter of pride that a publicity organization has functioned actively for 50 years.” Sudhindra Venkatesh, head of the organization, said: “We are thankful to all the dignitaries who unveiled our Golden Jubilee logo. We are making preparations to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Raghavendra Chitravani in a grand manner this April. We are grateful to the film industry and the media for continuously supporting us.” Sunil Sudhindra, D. G. Venkatesh, Pawan Venkatesh, and other family members were present at the event.
