From Stuntman’s Son to Lead Hero: The Gripping Trailer of ‘Star’ Unveiled
In a heartwarming gesture, the trailer for the upcoming movie ‘Star’ was officially launched by Ramesh, a security guard at Sri Renukamba Preview Talkies. Created by a team of newcomers, the film is produced by Sharath Prakash under the Lion Creations banner, who also stars as the lead. Directed by Vijayasurya, the film carries the intriguing tagline: “Bhoomige Hatra” (Close to Earth).

From Stuntman’s Son to Leading Man
Producer and lead actor Sharath Prakash shared his emotional journey during the event. His father, Prakash, was a well-known stunt fighter in the industry since the era of the legendary Dr. Rajkumar.

The Journey: Although Sharath gained popularity as the winner of the reality show ‘Pyate Mandi Kadige Bandru’ (Season 2) and acted in minor roles in over 25 films, he had been waiting for a significant breakthrough.
The Story: “I loved the director’s one-line story. It isn’t just about raw rowdyism; it’s a wholesome entertainer that explores the bonds between father and daughter, motherly sentiment, and love,” Sharath explained.

Realistic Action and Slum Life
Director Vijayasurya provided insights into the film’s gritty yet relatable setting.
The Concept: The film depicts gang wars and the challenges the protagonist faces. According to the director, the scenes are designed to feel like real-life incidents occurring in local neighborhoods.
The Location: To maintain authenticity, the movie was shot in the local slums of Bengaluru.
The Title: The director teased that the audience will have to watch the film to understand why the protagonist earns the name ‘Star.’ He also highlighted that the movie provides a platform for many talented theatre artists.

A Twist in the Tale
The female lead, Rajataraksha, spoke about the complexity of her role. She hinted at a significant plot twist involving her character: “Even though the hero is a rowdy, he melts like butter in my presence. When his soft behavior becomes a weapon for his enemies, the story takes an unpredictable turn.”
