Premi Review – A Childhood Marriage, Lost Love, and a Journey Back to the Past
Bengaluru: Prem (Advik), who lost his parents at a young age and grew up as an orphan, is making a living in Bengaluru. His friend Tina (Shobhita), who loves him, expresses her feelings. However, Prem rejects her because he was married in his childhood. As this unfolds, Prem begins to recall his wife Madhuvati (Satvika), whom he had married as a child due to his uncle’s conspiracy. He immediately sets out on a journey to his hometown. So, what exactly is the conspiracy plotted against Prem by his own uncle? What is Madhu’s story? Has she forgotten Prem and married someone else, or has she been waiting for his return? To find out, one must watch the movie Premi.

The story of Premi is written by Akkamahadevi. Director Pradeep Verma has put in considerable effort to bring it to the screen. However, compared to the narration, dialogues, and character development, the background music feels overpowering at times and may come across as irritating to the audience. There was scope to present the hero’s backstory more effectively. Advik, making his debut as a lead actor, needed more preparation. On the other hand, Satvika and Shobhita have performed their roles neatly and convincingly.
