An Emotional Ride ‘Vritta’ is set to release this week

When we hear the word Vritta, we usually think of a circle. But for director Likhith Kumar, Vritta represents an emotional journey. That’s the reason he has chosen Vritta as the title for his new emotional mystery thriller film. Scheduled for release on August 1, the film unfolds a series of events that occur over a single night. It promises to be an emotional ride.
With Vritta, Likhith Kumar makes his directorial debut. The film’s shooting and post-production are already complete, and the team is all set to bring it to the big screen on August 1.
The story revolves around a character named Siddharth, whose greatest enemy is his own mental state. What unfolds over one night, one phone call, and a wrong turn he takes, that’s the core of the film. Young actor Mohiyuddin plays the role of Siddharth. Jayanna Films has taken on the responsibility of distributing the film.
Director Likhith shares, “I always wanted to make a film with a challenging story. I started my career in cinema as an editor and later directed a couple of short films. Now I’m stepping into feature direction with this film. The motion poster and the lyrical video of the song ‘Yavva Maayeyo’ have already been released and are going viral with massive viewership. Actor Neenasam Satish, who watched the film, was impressed by the content and is presenting the movie under his banner.” Likhith further adds, “Vritta features excellent sound design by Sync Cinema, which will strike a chord with the audience. Although it’s a mystery thriller with a complex narrative, each character — especially Siddharth brings a unique perspective. The storytelling style is distinctive.”
Produced under the Lakshya Arts banner by T. Shivakumar, the story is by Yogesh Gowda, with dialogues by Shankar Raman, and screenplay and direction by Likhith Kumar himself. Actors Mahir and Harini Sundar Rajan play important roles, and the director has kept one key plot-twist character under wraps.
The film features just one song, with music composed by Antony MG and Hari Krishanth. The cinematography is by Gautham Krishna, and Suresh Arumugam has handled the editing.
