Set to release on February 6, the film has a special surprise exclusively for Challenging Star Darshan’s fans. The superhit song “Bangari Yaare Nee Bul Bul” from Darshan’s film Gaja has been remixed and used in Gharga, making it a special tribute and a surprise gift for Darshan fans. At a recent event, the song was officially launched by over 50 Darshan fans who were present at the venue.
Gharga is the name of a village, with the tagline “The Land of Shadow.” Through this film, Arun Ram Prasad makes his debut as a lead actor. Gharga is an adventurous drama with horror elements, in which Arun plays the role of a writer and researcher. Saikumar plays a prominent role, while Rehan appears as the female lead. The film is written and directed by M. Shashidhar, who has handled the story, screenplay, and direction.

Speaking on the occasion, producer Ashwini Ram Prasad said, “The songs of Gaja were originally released under Ashwini Audio, and they received millions of views at the time. Even now, within just a few hours of release, this remixed song has crossed over a million views. We are dedicating this song to Darshan. On the film’s release day, we will celebrate the success of this song. Promotions are currently happening across all platforms. We are releasing the film only in selected centres. N. Kumar has arranged excellent theatre setups for the release. This is not a routine film—audiences will witness a different style of making and presentation.”

Director Shashidhar stated that he has made a film that will appeal to the masses, adding that the lead actor appears in three different looks. Lead actor Arun said that his character in the film is very different, with multiple shades such as a writer and an underworld connection. “It’s a horror crime thriller subject,” he explained. The film is being released by N. Kumar and features a blend of horror, suspense, thriller, and action elements. Gharga has been shot across Mangaluru, Chikkamagaluru, Dandeli, Agumbe, and Bengaluru.
