“Eltu Mutta” Teaser Creates Buzz with Powerful Impact

Eltu Mutta is the film based on the lives of those who beat drums at funerals produced by Satya Srinivasan under the banner of High5 Studios, written and directed by Ra. Surya, and starring Ra. Surya and Shaurya Pratap in lead roles.

Recently Eltu Mutta’s teaser was released. The teaser has created a lot of curiosity and has been widely viewed and appreciated since its release.

Eltu Mutta revolves around those who play drums at funerals. The title Eltu Mutta refers to two characters. “I play the role of ‘Eltu’ and have also directed the film,” said director Ra. Surya. The role of ‘Mutta’ is played by Shaurya Pratap. Along with seasoned actors like Naveen Padil, Cockroach Sudhi, and Yamuna Srinidhi, several new talents have been cast in the film. It’s a story with a very different narrative.

The storyline draws inspiration from the conflict between a peacock and a serpent. The innocent and graceful peacock captivates everyone with its dance, but when angered, it can kill the mighty serpent — Kalinga. We have portrayed this symbolism through our characters. The story is set in the Kodagu region, and most of the filming was done there. The dialogues are also in the Madikeri dialect of Kannada, explained director Ra. Surya.

“I come from an IT background and wildlife photography is my hobby. My father, Srinivasan, was a distributor in the Tamil film industry. Filmmaking was my dream, and now it has come true. We produced this film under the High5 Studios banner. Before the shoot, we took all necessary precautions, including health and life insurance for every member of the team. Our only intention was to ensure no harm comes to anyone during production. By God’s grace, we completed the shoot without any obstacles, and the film is now in its final stages. The movie is scheduled to release by the end of July. Before that, the songs will be released in Hubballi and the trailer in Bengaluru. Pavindra Muttappa from Ace 22 Productions is partnering with us for the film’s release. Thanks to the support of our team, we’ve created a fine film,” said producer Satya Srinivasan.

“My father didn’t want me to become an actor, but life took this turn. I studied and secured a good position as per his wish, and now I’ve also become an actor — both our dreams have come true. Mutta is the name of my character. Apart from acting, I’ve also worked as an assistant director and co-writer on the film,” said actor Shaurya Pratap.

Cockroach Sudhi, who plays the role of Alex Chatwa, said, “I’m happy to have worked with such a good team.”

Music director Prasanna Keshav shared, “I got into music direction because of my mentors — Karthik and Ravi Basrur. This film has five songs.”
