Gen-Z based Suspense Thriller ‘Indira’ Title Teaser Unveiled
The makers of the upcoming Kannada film ‘Indira’ have officially unveiled the film’s title poster and title teaser, offering the first exciting glimpse into this unique Gen-Z themed suspense thriller. In today’s digital age, the Gen-Z generation is deeply influenced by smartphones, social media, and constant internet access. Indira explores how this technology-driven generation thinks, reacts, and how powerful – and dangerous – their actions can become. The film is designed to strongly connect with today’s youth while also delivering a meaningful social message.

The film is written and directed by Ved, who earlier directed Raven. Kiran Kumar M. is producing the movie under the Kiran Films banner. A successful real-estate entrepreneur and co-producer of earlier films, Kiran Kumar now makes his debut as a full-fledged producer with Indira. The title poster and teaser were launched at a grand event attended by B. M. Harish (former President of the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce), producers T. P. Siddaraju and Nithyananda Prabhu, B. M. Girish (Honorary Secretary of the Kannada Film Producers Association), actor Dev Devayya, and several other notable personalities from the film industry and different fields.

Speaking at the event, director Ved said: “This film is deeply connected to today’s generation. Across the world, we see how Gen-Z is shaping society in new ways. Their thinking, their digital habits, and their ability to influence the world are all part of Indira. It is a female-centric story, which is why we chose this powerful title. Along with entertainment, the film will also carry an important social message. We are planning to begin shooting in March.”

Producer Kiran Kumar M. clarified: “Even though the film is titled Indira, it has no connection with Indira Gandhi and is not a political film. The title was chosen for its strength and impact. The story reflects many realities of today’s world. Since this film is aimed at Gen-Z audiences, we are using modern technology and production methods. We are also planning to release the film in multiple languages. Pre-production work is already completed, and we aim to release the movie by the end of this year.”
The script of Indira is now finalized. Ravivarma is handling cinematography, while Dhanush is the editor. The film will be shot across Bengaluru, Mysuru, Mangaluru, major locations in Karnataka, and also in a few other states. The makers are planning to cast a popular Kannada actress in the lead female role, along with artists from across South India. The final cast and crew are expected to be announced by the end of March, after which the film will go on floors.
