Pan-India Multistarrer “45” to Release Grandly on December 25

The much-anticipated Kannada pan-India film “45”, starring Karunada Chakravarthy Dr. Shivarajkumar, Real Star Upendra, and Raj B. Shetty in lead roles, has officially locked its release date for December 25, 2025.

Originally slated for release on August 15, the film was postponed due to pending VFX work. Produced by Ramesh Reddy under Suraj Productions and marking ace music director Arjun Janya’s directorial debut, “45” is one of the biggest upcoming Kannada releases this year.

Announcing the new release date at a press meet, director Arjun Janya shared details about the film’s extensive use of computer graphics: “We had earlier planned to release the film on August 15, but the VFX work is still in progress in Canada. Around 40% of the film involves high-end graphics. The renowned Canadian company MARZ, which has Hollywood technicians, is handling the VFX. Though the release has been delayed, our intention is to deliver a quality film that audiences will admire. Since December 25 coincides with Christmas, holidays, and what astrologers consider an auspicious day, we felt it was the perfect time for release. I’m grateful to Shivarajkumar sir, Upendra sir, Raj B. Shetty, and especially producer Ramesh Reddy for their constant support.”

Producer Ramesh Reddy added: “Today is a very special day, and we are happy to announce that ‘45’ will release on December 25. This project is close to my heart. The VFX work, supervised by Mysuru’s Yash Gowda, is progressing rapidly in Canada. Importantly, this is the first Kannada film for which MARZ is handling visual effects. As far as I know, no other Kannada film has had such extensive graphics. We are not doing VFX just for the sake of it—the story itself demands it. I am committed to ensuring no compromises in quality. I assure audiences that ‘45’ will not disappoint.”

He further revealed that leading Telugu distribution house Mythri Movie Makers has already expressed interest in acquiring distribution rights, but final decisions will be taken once the film is fully complete.

With a star-studded cast, cutting-edge VFX, and Arjun Janya’s directorial vision, “45” is gearing up to be a landmark Kannada film set for a grand worldwide release on Christmas Day, December 25.
