“The Task” Movie Wraps Up Shoot, Gears Up for Release Soon

Under the banner of Lokapoojya Picture House, producers E. Ramanna and Vijay Kumar have backed an upcoming Kannada film titled “The Task”. The film had its official muhurtha ceremony in November 2024, and by the end of December, the team began principal photography. After an extensive 46-day shoot across Bengaluru and the scenic locales of Madikeri and surrounding areas, filming was successfully completed on July 22, 2025, at 4:30 AM.

Directed by Raghu Shivamogga, who earned acclaim for his previous work ‘Choorikatte’, The Task features Jai Surya R Azaad of ‘Bheema’ fame, Sagar Ram of ‘Pentagon’, and child artist Baby Shri Lakshmi in prominent roles. Interestingly, Raghu Shivamogga not only directed the film but also plays a key role in the story.

The ensemble cast includes some of the most respected names in the industry — Achyuth Kumar, Balaji Manohar, Gopalakrishna Deshpande, Sangeetha Bhat, Harini Srikanth, Tanisha Kuppanda, Sampath Maitreya, Aravind Kupliker, Kiran Naik, P.D. Satish, and Bharath G.B.

The movie has a strong technical crew with Pradeep Padmakumar as cinematographer, Jared and Judah for music. Action is directed by Arjun Raj and edition is done by Prakash Karinja. Post-production work is currently underway at a brisk pace. “The Task” is expected to hit the screens very soon, promising an engaging cinematic experience for audiences.
